Online Communications Associate
Campus Progress has an immediate opening for an Online Communications Associate to work closely with the Online Communications Manager in coordinating and operating all aspects of Campus Progress’ online presence. This includes an online magazine, campaign websites, event calendars and announcements, a blog, an email marketing program, and web video. Applicants should have experience creating and maintaining websites and be able to contribute innovative ideas for content. The candidate should also have the marketing sense to know why you need three ads if you have three messages. This position requires stamina to manage a large workflow of requests efficiently and the diligence to check all work for accuracy and completeness. Applicants must enjoy detail-oriented work and troubleshooting while developing project ideas and driving them to completion. Special Assistant to the Director
The Special Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Director of Campus Progress and the Manager of Strategic Planning and Development with overall coordination of Campus Progress’s programs; coordinating Campus Progress presence at conferences, music festivals, and other events; organizing meetings and managing schedules; assisting with campus outreach and organizing efforts; researching, drafting, and editing materials; overseeing the production of promotional materials; and other tasks. Advocacy Associate
The Advocacy Associate is responsible for supporting the internal structure and external outputs of the Campus Progress advocacy department around the issues of climate change, college affordability, the war in Iraq, civil rights, poverty, and other progressive issue campaigns and activism projects. The Advocacy Associate will be responsible for developing the public image of the activism work of Campus Progress and our network of student activists across the country through materials and website content. The Advocacy Associate will also support the Policy and Advocacy Manager in tracking staff responsibilities, deadlines, and systems. Through this work the Advocacy Associate will develop an understanding of a wide range of progressive policy issues and field outreach strategies to support young activists working for real change.
